Radhanath Ray was the famous poet of Orissa. For his contribution to Oriya Literature he was honored with the title ' Kabibar '. Radhanath Ray had written many poetries many of which have remained in the top of the golden collections of Oriya literature. Radhanath Ray was born on September 28, 1848 in the village Kedarpur of Balasore district, Orissa. During his study, he showed his talent and interest in Oriya literature. During early days of his writing career, he wrote both in Bengali and Oriya language, but after sometime, he focused on Oriya literature only and started writing in only Oriya language.
